Beggars & Thieves

Beggars & Thieves is a “New Classic Rock” band based out of Las Vegas. Originally signed by the legendary Ahmet Ertegun to Atlantic Records they released their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album in 1990. Leaving Atlantic, Beggars signed to Epic Records recording their second album “Look What You Create” in 1992.
With the advent of grunge and the rise of Nirvana, Beggars founders guitarist Ronnie Mancuso and vocalist Louie Merlino returned to the lucrative session world working with such artists as Alice Cooper, Joan Jett, Kiss, Cher, Iggy Pop as well as writing and producing music for Fox Sports and Nascar.
In late 2007 Ronnie & Louie reformed Beggars after seeing a resurgence of their cult status in Europe. In the fall of 2008 Beggars toured Europe for the first time, opening the prestigious “Firefest” festival in Nottingham England as well as many shows in Italy.
Signing with the Italian promotion company M.E. Music. Beggars began recording their fourth album “We Are The Broken Hearted” in the spring of 2009. The Album is currently being mixed by Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch producer engineer Kevin Churko.
In preparation for a European media blitz and record release in fall 2010. Ron & Louie began playing select shows in an around Las Vegas, first as The Sin City All-Stars and then as Beggars & Thieves, opening for Slaughter, Vince Neil, Tesla, Ratt, Skid Row and LA Guns.
As well as Ronnie and Louie, Beggars live band currently includes drummer Lez Warner who as a member of “The Cult” played on their classic Rick Rubin produced “Electric” album. Bassist Brent Fitz who worked with Alice Cooper and Vince Neil and Keyboardist Mr. Fox who worked with Foreigner and Heart.
